Lumbar Total Disc Replacement
Anterior Lumbar (surgery performed through the abdomen) Total Disc Replacement involves removal of the disc and replacement with a new mechanical disc. The space where the disc lives is enlarged to make more room for the nerves. This procedure can be performed on those patients with limited arthritis. The benefit of this procedure is that it allows the patient to maintain mobility.- Pre-operative information
